KaVo PROPHYpearls

KaVo’s PROPHYpearls are spherical shapes and hence provide optimum cleaning power: The round surfaces offer more contact points than conventional powders and therefore work even more efficiently. At the same time they are particularly gentle on the teeth, as they do not have any sharp edges.

Air-flow is one of the newest methods for removing tooth pigment.

Dental plaque is removed from hard-to-reach places using a mixture of dental soda powder and a stream of water and air.

Oral prophylaxis

Preventing tooth decay is crucial. We recommend rinsing using fluoride mouthrinses which strengthen tooth enamel. Give oral care enough attention. Remember - only constantly looking after your teeth and visiting the dentist regularly you will be able to enjoy healthy and attractive teeth.

Oral hygiene for dental implants

Hard plaque is removed using special carbon fiber instruments, whereas for soft plaque a rubber scoop and polishing paste is used. Special implant care products are recommended: toothbrushes, floss, etc.

Fluoride use

Fluoride treatment is used for caries prevention and treatment of tooth hypersensitivity. Fluoride is crucial for enamel re-mineralization and increases its resistance to bacteria. Fluoride ions and calcium form calcium fluoride crystals on tooth surface, which protect the tooth from acids.

Treatment used:

  • fluoride gel applications;
  • Bifluorid 10 fluoride varnish;
  • Fluorinex system;
  • Admira Protect – a light-cured nanofilled material for dentin hypersensitivity;
  • Seal&Protect.
