Dr Vittorio Cacciafesta’s courses in Milan

We were delighted to receive this opportunity to improve our skills and receive the newest information in orthodontics from the leaders in the field. Neodenta’s orthodontist Irma Andziulienė has come back from courses in Milan.

Lingual (invisible) braces are bonded to the lingual (inner) tooth surfaces, so they are invisible from the outside to other people. Conversely, ceramic braces are visible, although quite aesthetic. These braces are especially effective for uncomplicated cases, when for social reasons patients do not want regular braces.

Dr Vittorio Cacciafesta has graduated Federico II University in Naples, Italy. He has carried out research in Humboldt University Department of Orthodontics, Berlin, Germany. He is a visiting professor in Aarhus University Department of Orthodontics, Denmark and Temple University, PA, USA. The clinician treats his patients only using the lingual brace system.

During the courses, Dr Cacciafesta explained the peculiarities of lingual braces. Patients were invited to present changing archwires and performing activations. A lot of attention has gone for practical courses using jaw models. The attendees were taught to bond braces and fix archwires.
